This Cookie Policy explains how MPK Development (Pty) Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies on the Plutus Solutions platform, accessible at https://plutussolutions.co.za (the “Platform”).
Plutus Solutions is an invite-only B2B platform for South African businesses. We use a minimal cookie footprint — strictly limited to what is necessary to authenticate you and keep your session secure. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking cookies, or analytics cookies.
2. What Is a Cookie?
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a web server when you visit a website. Your browser stores it and sends it back to the server automatically on subsequent requests to the same domain. Cookies can be “session cookies” (deleted when you close your browser) or “persistent cookies” (remain until they expire or you delete them).

We set one essential, first-party cookie:

This token is stored in your browser's localStorage rather than as an HTTP cookie header, but we disclose it here for transparency. It functions identically to a session cookie for authentication purposes.
4. Cookies We Do NOT Use

- No third-party analytics (Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, etc.)
- No social media tracking cookies
- No cross-site tracking of any kind
- No fingerprinting or device identification
5. Legal Basis (POPIA)
Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), essential cookies that are strictly necessary for the platform to function do not require separate consent — they are justified under the legitimate interest and contractual necessity grounds. Our authentication token falls squarely within this category: without it, you cannot use the Service.
We nevertheless display a cookie notice banner on first visit as a transparency measure.
6. How to Manage Cookies
You can clear your browser's localStorage at any time through your browser settings. This will log you out of Plutus Solutions. You can also click “Log Out” within the Platform, which removes the authentication token.
Since we only use a strictly necessary authentication mechanism, blocking it will prevent you from using the Platform entirely.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through a notice on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
